Instant visibility
A “kanban board” of all improvements provides a great way for visualization of ideas/projects in different stages and for the team to get together and discuss what is moving forward and what needs more of their attention. A range of filters is available which means you can only focus on data relevant for you at the moment.
Communication
Team members are able to discuss ideas directly in eKaizen. They can also directly communicate with the idea author(s). All of the communication is stored in eKaizen so that later, when the kaizen is reviewed, there is no need to track the communication over multiple platforms. This feature also reduces the need for in-person meetings or online conferences.
Workflow & project management
Every project can have a number of tasks assigned to it. The workflow is either generated automatically from a template based on the project type or created ad-hoc based on meetings or kaizen events. Every task is assigned to a particular person with a deadline and other properties such as priority and progress status. This enhances the accountability of team members. Every person on the team can feel the ownership of part of the kaizen.
Notifications
Major events (e.g. task assignment and project status change) are tracked and email notifications are sent automatically to the people who need to be notified. This includes the idea author(s) so they stay informed about the idea progress and that they keep being involved and engaged.
Tags
Tags help teams categorize projects, making it simpler to collaborate and track progress. Different colors add flavor in terms of personalization and ease of categorization. Tag filtering and sorting is of course included, making the work even more enjoyable.
Local, regional & corporate levels
Set up user roles at local, regional as well as corporate levels and ensure that everyone has access to the right data. Regional and corporate managers can easily monitor all locations that fall within their responsibility, compare their performance and roll out new standards across the organization.
